One of the most critical needs for families with autism is pertinent information about available services in their area or in an area they are considering moving to.
Please make use of the information listed on this page with the understanding that Charleston Autism Academy is not promoting or endorsing any of these service providers over others not listed. We have tried to provide complete information so that families feel that they have options for their children.
If there are services available that are not listed here that would help families, please contact us with the provider's information for inclusion in our next update to this page.

Other Programs Available:
Project Rex 29-B Leinbach Dr. Did you know that only 36% of children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder have Autism? The remaining 63% do not have autism, but have parts of autism. These are forgotten children who were not served by a comprehensive program in the Charleston Community prior to the founding of Project Rex. We at Project Rex provide support and treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their parents. Our goal is to help children reach their highest potential by enhancing their social skills, their ability to understand emotions and their adaptability. Our services include a child group, a parallel parent group and medication support. We have an organized curriculum that builds sequentially over an 8-week treatment course. The Project Rex treatment program has been shown to improve key target symptoms such as eye contact, peer relations, anxiety, mood swings and hyperactivity. We invite you and your child to join Project Rex today!
